How to go

The convenient location of La Tour de Nesle La Rochelle Vieux Port Hotel allows you to easily reach us by various means of transportation: car, train and plane.

By car

The city center of La Rochelle has many one-way streets, so we strongly recommend using a GPS for your journey.

If parking spaces are available, it is possible to park in front of the hotel for 20 minutes to check in or unload your car. However, you will need to turn on your hazard lights and display a blue disc on your dashboard.

The hotel does not have reserved parking spaces, but you have several options:

On the streets in the vicinity (Paid parking from 8 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Saturday)

Paid parking at “Vieux Port Sud,” an 8-minute walk from the hotel, on Avenue de Colmar.

Paid parking at “Verdun,” a 10-minute walk from the hotel, at Place de Verdun.

Free parking at the Maritime Museum, less than a 15-minute walk from the hotel, at Place B. Moitessier.

Park-and-Ride (P+R) “Jean Moulin” for €3 per car, with shuttles running approximately every 15 minutes.

Benefit from a 3-day pass for €12 (for up to 5 people) when parking at the park-and-ride.

There are two offers available in the “Verdun” and “Vieux Port Sud” parking lots: 7 days for €90 and 3 days for €50 (available at the payment booths).

We would like to inform you that the hotel offers a luggage storage service. Feel free to leave your luggage with us while you find a parking spot.

By train

La Rochelle Train Station is less than 10-minutes walk from the hotel. Take the Avenue du Général de Gaulle out of the station toward the ferries wheel then continue on to the Quai Valin before turning right on the Quai Louis Durand where our hotel is located.

By plane

La Rochelle – Ile de Ré airport is only 20-30 minutes away from the city center. Yélo Illico Line 1B shuttles run regularly from Monday to Saturday from the airport to the city center and line D5 is operational every Sunday in July and August.

The closest stop is Dames Blanches (Louis Durand) situated less than 5 minutes’ walk from our hotel.
